When you change the brand/type of pill you are on is the protection continuous..Or must you use the backup for the next week? Thanks

Usually you need to use a back up for 7 days (it'd be advisable in case you didn't agree with the new meds anyway).

What are you changing from and to?

When you see your doc ask him/her about the change over process, when you get your pills.
