So on september 21 I awoke to my heart pounding and racing-i knew something was wrong and took my blood pressure..For me it was getting high it was 158/101 (i am usually 101/53) my heart rate was 154. I feel dizzy and out of breath so I rushed to the er..That move save my life because my blood pressure was 194/130 and heart rate was 165-they rushed me in and put me in icu in the er .

Now after all is done/the heart monitor-the ekg it was decided I needed to get cathetar ablation done on the 28th of this month. The reason is about a year ago my heart threw off a clot-it was the most frightening night of my life. No one understood what happened and now they have "connected" the dots. I feel relieved that now I have an awareness of what happened that night-i am 33 years old (32 when that happened) and felt I was too young for any of that..Now that has disappeared.

I was wondering if anyone has had the cathetar ablation done. I have read it is painful..Can anyone shed some light on this. How long did you take off from work? Was it helpful? And how much was it? ( I am now having problems with my insurance but who doesn't Evil or Very Mad )

any light on this would help me. I hope my story will help others who also have a racing heart too take it seriously-it does throw off clots and I only have "episodes" about once every three months....

Thank you
