So I posted the other day because I was late on my period for the first time in 2 years. Well to make this short, I thought I had gotten my period on thursday but it was really weird. It looked like very tiny blood clots and it was very very slimy. (i know thats a lot of info). Well it is now monday and its still slimy, very little red color to it now....Just slimy. My question is....Has this happened to anyone?? Could it be from pregnancy?? Also all last night I had the terrible taste in my mouth and couldnt get it out....I tried everything. Thanks for any advice.

No I havent taken a test yet. My boyfriend is going to bring one down on wednesday if it still continues, but I have surgery on thursday for my tonsils...So I dont know if the anesthesia would harm anything if I was. Its just really gross, I have never had that happen to me!! Do you think it could be caused by pregnancy??

I urge you to take a test asap if u are having surgery. It would not be good for the baby I don't think

i agree! You really should let the surgeons know if you are pregnant.

Yea I am going to tomorrow or wednesday night..!! The bleeding has stopped, but im still having really thick slimy discharge. If I were pregnant could the bleeding also be caused by having sex?? Because on sunday on sunday I stopped bleeding...Then me and my boyfriend had sex, and I started bleeding again (thick & slimy)...But this morning it stopped..(the bleeding that is)....

I know you are looking for info, but it is tough since we don't know you or your body.

To answer your last question, yes, being pregnant can cause you to bleed after sex. Your cervix becomes all swollen and filled with blood, knocking is more likely to cause bleeding than when not pregnant.

As for the discharge, I have no idea. I beleive I have experienced what you are talking about before (while not pregnant), but the nasty taste in the mouth is very tell tale of pregnancy... For me anyway, I couldn't get the metallic taste out of my mouth until the third month.

Ok...So I just took a test and it was negative. I was excited about the thought of being pregnant, but im a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and right now im just not meant to be. I havent had that metallic taste again either, I had it for 2 days. I think I might have experienced a misscarriage becuase the thick slimy stuff continued with blood in it, and also tiny blood clots. So thats what I think it was...Is that usually what happens??

I'm actually experiencing something similar to what you're talking about.
My period was about two days late and when I finally did get it (this tuesday) it seemed to be mostly clots. At first it barely seemed like a period. Then the discharge was a mix of clots and blood. Heh since last night my period has been very light and there also hasn't been any blood or anything when I wipe since last night. (tmi..) so..I got my period for like a day and a half this month? O.O

glad to hear the test came back negative! Gl though! Hope you didn't miscarry.

Was the discharge that you had slimy and thick also..??? Because mine was, it was really gross and I have never had anything like that before. It's really good to talk to someone else who has gone through this.
