My boyfriend always gets an erection while he's sleeping. Sometimes i'll wake up to get a drink of water or to use the bathroom and his member is standing straight up! Sometimes it will even move a little bit like a contraction or something. It turns me on and makes me want to just wake him right up sometimes! What causes this to happen while men are sleeping? Does it necessarily mean he's dreaming of something sexual?
Lol would love ma girlfriend to have tht same attitude as u...Anyway im not sure why but almost all men sleep and wake up with an errection..Its 110% normal. They say u should be worried if u dont but thats another story...Anyway yeh..Completely normal and it doesn't mean hes having sexual dreams/thoughts, its just what us guys have to put up with, not that its a trouble/bother :p
its a relief to see that it is normal for guys to get an eraction while sleeping...but is it normal for it to be everyday?...i kind of started thinking that maybe i wasnt satisfying my boyfriend or even worst he might be cheating
I am 71 years old and still get several erections a night. After retiring I joined a health club and walk for 1 hour 6-7 times a week. I swear that I seem to get more night erections than before I exercised. I still do have to use Viagra to have sex.
My bf won't allow me to take advantage of it. I sometimes wanna say f this shot and just do it anyway. I always tell him to stop dreaming of another girl (most of the time joking because i cant stop being self conciouse negative i was hurt so many times before but still learning to trust again after being molested by a classmate in high school and almost stabbed by my cheating ex and my current is one of the first one i told of the ex going at me with a knife My fam don't even know about it) I'm glad it's something he can help when he is asleep talks a load of my mind now still wiped about running into the wrong old classmatt. And he wrong ex.
Ment cant not can and worried not wiped and the not he. I hate my phone. Besides since i been back to my side of town i alteady seen the old classmate and im always worried i will see my ex. I wish i could warn other girls about him
Although penile erection is a physiological phenomenon, but the timing of the erection, duration aspects of general rule, if too frequent erection or erection lasts too long, it may be a disease, shall promptly see a doctor to find out and aggressive treatment of the cause, or it may lead to erectile dysfunction and affect his life.
I was taught that most men (in good health) will get an erection 3 times a night on average. Once as they fall asleep, once during REM sleep and the third upon awakening. The reasons are unknown. It does NOT mean that he's dreaming of you or someone else, it just happens and he does not control it.
Farell, You are right about a long lasting erection. It will often become painful and is usually in that condition absent of sexual stimulation. This is considered a medical emergency as it can have detrimental effects on function in the future. This can also happen as a result of spinal trauma and is then called priapism.
When you talk about "too frequent" erections, I assume you are talking about unwanted erections without sexual stimulation which adversely effect your daily life. If this is the case you should certainly have a discussion with your physician about it.
I think this is very normal, I am 35 and I have erections regularly in the nights and when I wake up in the morning. It's just uncomfortable when I have to get the door in the morning immediately after I wake up with a hard-on and there is nobody else to answer the door. But I guess everyone knows and understands
