Q: Erection While Sleeping

My boyfriend always gets an erection while he's sleeping. Sometimes i'll wake up to get a drink of water or to use the bathroom and his member is standing straight up! Sometimes it will even move a little bit like a contraction or something. It turns me on and makes me want to just wake him right up sometimes! What causes this to happen while men are sleeping? Does it necessarily mean he's dreaming of something sexual?

Lol would love ma girlfriend to have tht same attitude as u...Anyway im not sure why but almost all men sleep and wake up with an errection..Its 110% normal. They say u should be worried if u dont but thats another story...Anyway yeh..Completely normal and it doesn't mean hes having sexual dreams/thoughts, its just what us guys have to put up with, not that its a trouble/bother :p

That's normal :)

Every man(if normal) has erection during REM sleep( when most of our dreams occur) .So,it is perfectly normal.

Yes, I have seen my boyfriends having a hardon when they are sleeping, I never thought of it as abnormal and I'm kind of glad that they still get it hard.

Yep, perfectly normal. In fact at 52, I still wake up to the little guy saluting me about 3/4 of the time!

I think it's my exercise program. I've been an amatuer endurance athlete for 30 years. I think it keeps the blood flow good!

I sleep with no clothes on, and the rubbing when im on my stomach gets me hard! them its hard to sleep on my stomach

I, even at my old age, get hard many a times and have to hide it from my wife sleeping nearby.It is natural for men to get erections at night.
