What did you do with your baby the first day he/she was home? I keep asking my husband, "what are we going to do with her?" I haven't been around a baby since my brother was born and that was 18 years ago. I don't remember anything from when he was little. My husband's been around children his whole life, so he's not nervous at all.
I think we'll want to be alone the first day or two in case we mess up something. I don't want my mom looking over our shoulder saying, "no, you do it this way."
what are we going to do with a baby!!!!
Me right now: Shocked
my husband: Smile

When I first got home, I took a shower and he slept pretty much all day so theres not much to do with them anyway.

I took a sh*tload of photos too.

When we first got .Aly home, we had two sets of parents on our heels as well. My house (which was spotless when .I'd left for the hospital) was a wreck, because while I was in labor my fil and husband had installed a new fridge, moved the kitchen around and forgot to put it back. There were two hospital bags that needed to be unpacked, baby gifts/flowers/balloons people had brought us, and lots of freebies, paperwork, diapers bags, and other things the hospital itself sent us home with.

So umm, we had crap everywhere all over my nice clean house. And I was so upset, because I wanted .Aly to come home to a clean organized house. So she slept, the parents stared at her, and I ran around in a temper trying to put everything right. I had a nervous breakdown soon after that. Neutral

Lol laura you are too funny, I had a perfectly clean home until I got home too but I put it all in the study and closed the door so that I wouldn't have to look at it and the rest of the house was clean. And I kept it that way until I went back to work. Lol now it's a wreck...But for the first five days I just stared at her until I finally passed out from tiredness. It was crazy
