Yes...
However, long story so i'll give you the short version.
After my "hysterectomy" I carried on having regular periods. Surgeon said I was making it up, even had his .S.H.O examine me while I was bleeding

and she confirmed it, but he still said I was making it up.
Anyway 9 months after the fact (long complaints procedure) I got them finally to do an u/s and lo and behold there was my uterus!!!!!
So what did they remove???
Well I would have had a didelphic uterus if both sides had fully formed, they didn't.
So I ended up with a large unicornate uterus on one side and a connecting rudimentary horn on the other side.
Oliver was in the rudimentary horn (image a tiny uterus that isn't fully formed) and that was why the uterus he was in ruptured.
It was the rudimentary horn that they removed - leaving behind a large unicornate uterus or to quote the guy who did the u/s "a large, normal looking uterus".
I have had one hycosy since then and they "think" that the tube on the remaining side maybe be blocked or malformed or possibly just cramping or twisted as they didn't get any spill from the tube.
However, I have been pregnant in that side before - so we know it is possible (my first pregnancy was this side, as was my blighted ovum) we just don't know how possible.
So yes, technically I had a hysterectomy but I also have a uterus
i once said to steve maybe i'll be the first woman to have two hysterectomies.
