Birth Control Answer A1819
Women using birth control pills should have their period while taking the last 7 inactive pills if the pack contains 28 pills. Every vaginal bleeding other than menstruation is considered spotting (metrorrhagia). Spotting could be a side effect from the contraceptive pills (functional bleeding) but some other reasons (infection, tumors) have to first be excluded. You can go to your gynecologist for an examination and diagnostics.
