My friends baby is turning one this month and I want to get her a good gift that she'll be nuts about. They don't have a lot of money so I want to make it real good. Does anyone know any one year olds and things they really like playing with?

If he's almost walking/starting to walk yet, he'll probably like one of those things they can stand behind and hold onto then push, to help with walking. Damnit I dunno what they are called. You can get them with lots of different buttons on the front for him to press, which make sounds, play songs and light up.

I love buying toys! Lucas has so many xmas presents... Babies love music, so what about a cassette player/recorder with attached microphone, and a music tape to play

that's a good idea! She could take it in the car, and I could buy some baby tapes and stuff. I'm going to look at wal-mart (the only store we have) for something like that on tuesday. Her parents are really into music too, they bought her a little drum that their giving her for her birthday, so that will fit well.

I can't find it online, but we found a really cute zebra that you sit on, and it has toys on it's head, but the zebra is like those things at the park, where you sit on it and the bottom has a big spring, so you can rock back and forth/side to side....It's something along those lines, and we're getting it for .Adriana's first birthday! It's for kids that can stand up well and ones that can walk without help. So depending on where she's at on her walking...That may be an idea. Or i've also seen some blow up ball pits! I really want to get one of those for .Adriana, but I think she'd still be too young at .Chritsmas time. But if you get flyers from wal-mart and shopko, you could browse that for ideas. I looooooove shopping for kids.

I seen those springy zebra things on commercials! I really liked the idea too. But I have to send it through the mail, and something big might exceed my pathetic budget. Maybe if I get something big I can ship it directly to them through walmart for cheap though.

Oh, I didn't realize you had to ship it. Tho.....Like you said it may be cheaper to have wal-mart send it directly to them. And if you choose the slowest delivery, it's cheaper too. And I think they ship by weight, and when I picked it up, it wasn't really that heavy.
