Mmmk.... Here's my story... I have been with my husband for 4 almost 5 years.. We have 2 children together.. He has a problem with mental abuse ... I decided to leave him for good on august 22nd, 06 ... I started seeing another guy and we had sex on or around sept 6th... He didn't ejaculate in me... I broke it off with him b/c of his immatureness... Me and my husband then decided to work things out instead of getting a divorce... We had sex on sept. 11th and he ejaculated in me... I took a pregnancy test on sept. 20th and it came back positive... My husband and I have always used the pulling out method and I never got pregnant unless he fully ejaculated in me... My period was due the 18th of sept... It didn't come... So my question is ... Is there a possibility that the other guy could be the father?? Plz... Write back .. I am very confused!!!

Who's the Daddy?
The pull out method is never safe. The only way you will know for sure who the baby's daddy is is to have a praternity test done.

the Other Guy
I'd be of the opinion that a positive result would be unlikely to show up just 9 days after sex.

I don't think that's enough time for the sperm to find the egg, fertilize it, have the fertilized egg travel all the way down to your uterus, implant and have your body produce a high enough level of pregnancy hormone to get a positive.

Also, given your period was due sept 18th, your most likely ovulation date would have been around sept 4th or thereabouts.

All indications are that it is not your husband's baby, although, the only way to confim who the father is with certainty is a paternity test

depends on how close to ovulation you have sex.
If you have sex a day or two before ov'ing, then the sperm are up in the tubes and waiting, so the egg could be fertilised immediately.
It then takes between 6 and 10 days to travel to the uterus and implant. As soon as it implants hcg is produced.

So technically in a very unlikely situation it would theoretically be possible to get a positive 6dpo.

But it does usually take around the 10 days mark and I agree with you on the expected ov of around 4th sept. Which makes conception around 11th sept very very unlikely indeed.

A paternity test is your only way to know for sure. It could be either one, depending upon your particular cycle, etc.
