Q: Mid-month Bleeding After Medical Abortion

I had a medical abortion about two months ago. I went back on the pill soon after the procedure. Both last month and this month I have had significant bleeding and some bloody tissue about a week and a half in to my cycle. Period comes at the end of the month as usual. Should I be concerned? Is it possible not all the pregnancy tissue passed? What possible consequences would that have?

Extremely eHealthy
If all of the pregnancy tissue had not passed you would have had an infection and some type of complication, it would not have gone unnoticed.

Did you have your follow up ultrasound after the abortion? This is extremely important to make sure that the aboriton worked.

Some women do have mid cycle bleeding relating to their birth control pills during the first 3 months of use.
