Q: Ovulation After Birth

Quick question, for those of you who might know:

after you give birth and before you begin having your period again, what happens with your ovulation? Is your system trying to regulate itself after the pregnancy hormones have faded? Does your body rapid-fire eggs, is it an every-now-and-then thing, or does that differ between women?

Just a curious question.

Oh, and we're being careful (before you ask :.P) .Aly is more than enough for us right now.

I know people who have gotten pregnant before they ever had a period after birth. Be careful. Wear condoms.

Well yeah, I knew it was completely possible to get pregnant again before you get your period. I just wasn't sure if anyone knew what kind of changes your ovulation goes through during that between stage.

Well, my periods were still pretty regular. The two I had anyway.. They were just a hell of a lot heavier. It was really bad.

I ovulated when layla was 6-8 weeks old (the dr couldn't pinpoint it exactly but thats when I fell pregnant). My body had a month to recover and then started ovulaing again Shocked

i didn't have a period at all. I had 2 years with no period Cool

when logan was born my periods were awful- real heavy then I got pregnant and now I have the mirena coil in so i'm hoping for lighter periods again
