Q: Ultrasound

Well I had my ultrasound today which was so fun. I could really see her face and stuff, and she's definiatly a she. He said she weights 3 pounds now, and my due date didn't change (which I was sort of sad about cause i'm so huge that I was sure they had to have made some mistake and she had to be coming sooner). Later I had a dr's appointment, which wasn't so good because she said the results from my glucose test came back high. It was an 11, so tomorrow I have to do another glucose test. I don't want anything to be wrong, but I think there is because when I went in for the first test I got really dizzy and hot.

Anyways, here is the best shot out of the ultrasound pictures I got, taken with my webcam! I labelled everything. You can see half her face, I hope you can tell what you are looking at. Did anyone have gestational diabetes?

I don't know how long it takes for the results to come back (for gestational diabetes), but I got tested for them last tuesday at my appointment. I guess if I do have them, they'll call me and let me know because they called me today and told me my iron was low.

Oh my gosh that's so neat! The eye and the nose and 4 head and cheek I can see so perfectly! It looks like she's looking up lol aw I can't wait til she's here! Good luck on your test!

i had my test on monday and the results were at my dr's today, so that's pretty fast. She said if the next test comes out serious she'll call me right away though.

That's such an awesome pic! None of mine are that clear.

Sorry about the high test results, maybe it was just a fluke. It's not a big deal if you do have gd though, lots of women get it and I think they give you a good diet to follow.

How many weeks are you now?

I don't want to do another test Crying or Very sad

I had such a horrible time with my one on friday. I got dizzy and thought I was going to pass out so they let me lay on a couch in the lounge in maternity for the hour, the nurse even got me a pillow and tucked me in under my coat! I think it's not her eye open but her eyelid closed, atleast I didn't think it looked like an open eye?

I'm sad with the pictures he took. Three of the face, two you can't tell what you are looking at, and then one of the spine stomach heart and bladder? (i think it's the bladder I see in there). I wanted one of a foot or a hand but I feel so bad asking and being a bother. I hate when they seem rushed.

i'm 30 weeks and 4 days. I hope I don't have gd because it indicates I have a higher risk of getting diabetes when i'm older. Also he said my baby was 3 pounds already which I thought was big (and the lady who went with me to my ultrasound said it sounded big too), and people with gd have bigger babies normally. But then my dr said that 3 pounds by now is very normal, so I guess that's alright. I'm scared that I have an unhealthy baby if I have it! I ate right before I went in and drank the glucose stuff so maybe that affected the test (even though they didn't say I had to fast for it, but maybe it was too close together).

If I remember right ur not sposta eat before that test.. I think ur sposta go in the morning before u eat breakfast... So maybe thats why?

well she specifically said I don't have to fast, but I mean I did eat like 10 minutes before leaving for my test.

I'm suppose to start fasting tonight at midnight though and go in first thing in the morning for this next one. I think I also have to wait 2 hours between drinking the stuff and giving blood this time.

Oh yeah, I know you can't really tell specific facial features from normal ultrasounds but she seriously looked a lot like erik's baby photo's to me. But then again she also looks sort of black in the ultrasound pictures to me.

it just really looks like an iris/pupil at the top where the arrow is, and she looks like she's staring right at me... All mean-like... Neutral

Haha oh yeah I don't take offense to those types of things.

My sister looked at it and said "why does she only have one eye in the middle of her face tanya?".

That pic is soooo cool. My u/s pics aren't half as clear as that one. If I sit and study it for a long time .I can eventually tell what it is.
I'm glad they could confirm the gender as well!
