Q: Toe Flexion causing Pain
asked by: DoctorQuestion on November 1st, 2006
Hello, I have a problem with my feet, it's basically the middle of the "Tibia ?" bone. When I walk or run. Basically when I move my "Toe?" up, it hurts. The pain is pretty strong. If I don't move it up then it doesn't hurt, so sometimes I just walk weird so it wont hurt.

Please give advice why this may be and how can I improve this sittuation.

Thank you in advance.

Pain in the anterior part (tibia) of the leg that is provoked when you move the toes up is probably a muscle pain that originates from the muscles that control dorsal flexion of the toes. Muscle pain can be due to inflammation, overwork, or injury (muscle extension). You can try relieving the pain with massages and local analgesics (ketoprofen, ibuprofen, diclofenak…). You may also visit your GP for an examination of the affected area.
