Q: Getting Pants to Fit???

I am 5 months pregnant. I am carrying my baby very low and so I can't wear regular pants b/c they fall off b/c they are too big or too snug. I went to a maternity store and the girl that worked there told me since I was kind of little(i weigh around 127 I think) that I would have a hard time getting maternity pants to fit. I tried on small and most of them were way too big, the back pockets hung down almost to my knees lol. I only found 1 pair that fit me half way decent but b/c of work and everything I need some nice pants to wear. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem and if they had any pants suggestions?
Thanks

A lot of the maternity pants I ended up buying had adjustable buckles on the sides, so you could take them in or let them out as needed.

I had the same problem... Im tiny (started out at 87lbs) was just under 100lbs when I started looking for maternity clothes, couldnt find a thing, so I went and got sweat pants because they're streachy and comfertable.. But I guess u cant do that at work... Hm..

Buy pants that have elastic around them. Forget about maternity and just buy bigger clothes. Oh, and on the weekends and after work since it's winter, my best and most comftorable outfits: sweatpants and velour suits!!! :d

Buy bigger sizes of regular pants until that doesn't work any more, also try the pants that have adjustable elastic side panels. Those are much better than full panels until the last few months. Another thing that you can try is going to walmart. I had the same problem but oddly enough a walmart small fit me (at least until month nine when nothing fit but sweats).

the Best Maternity Pants!
My sister turned me on to pants from FisherPants.com. They're cotton and casual, but much better to be seen in than my sweats! You wrap them like a sarong, so they always adjust to fit. Smile

I brought the pants that go over your belly but you can roll them down also.

Only thing i will say is be careful of the sizes!! I'm 37 weeks and i pretty much no longer fit into my maternity pants! How sad is that!!Sad

At Motherhood Maternity they have maternity clothes that are in petite sizes......I am not sure if they have that in the States or not. What about Old Navy, have you tried there?

I bought a lot of the demi panel drawstring type maternity pants from Target. I'm pretty small too and haven't gotten huge w/ pregnancy. I needed maternity pants around 10 weeks because of the bloating and having a very fitted wardrobe pre-preg. I'm pretty small too and have only gained 16-17 lb. w/ pregnancy (I weigh 132 lb. now). The drawstring works pretty well. I never did get too huge at the end; the clothes I bought at 10 weeks pregnant still fit now (though they are not as loose as they once were).

You can try Old Navy too...though they don't have maternity clothes in all the stores, just certain locations, I'm lucky in that I basically live in a suburb of Houston and there are lots of Old Navy stores around so I was able to find one that carried maternity clothes in the store but you can order online too. Although w/ Old Navy, they're sizing always is weird. I've consistently been 1-2 sizes smaller in their clothing than at other stores.
