I just got back from the vets. I had to take my rat, .Rainbow, to be put to sleep. He was old and he'd stopped eating, so it was the kindest thing to do.. It doesn't make it any easier though, and my hormones just make it worse Crying or Very sad

sorry, I just need cheering up Sad

Thanks .Laura =)

yeah they're such clever animals, and they get a bad reputation. I'd get another one, but i'll have my hands full with my baba next month so it wouldn't be a good idea.

Aww .Gen, lol.

I nameed him .Hunter because he was a light cream color, and it reminded me of the khaki on the .Croc .Hunter's outfits.

He was such a pretty boy. I miss him. Sad

I have a rat!! Her name is .Viega.
She's rather fat &lazy. But she's so sweet.
I've had her for almost 2 years, .I think.
I've been trying to find someone to take her
for me, 'cause .I just don't have time to
take care of her, anymore. Especially
with the 3 cats &a baby on the way.
I love her dearly, though. *sigh*

I never had a rat, but my bro did.. His name was lewis... He was white with a brown noise and abit of brown near the butt.. My dad loved the rat... Once he was soooo tempted to get a hairless rat but my mom wouldnt let him... Then once we got the dog we didnt take lewis out of the cage much or pay much attention to him and he died Sad he was like 2 years old it was sad... I love rodents, i've had mice, dewarf hamsters, teddybear hampsters, gerbils, and I baby sat my friends degus.. That was cool Smile

Gerbils are .M.E.A.N! I had one bite the piss out of my finger once! Evil or Very Mad

when people think of rats, they think of dirty diseased things that live in sewers. Domestic rats are clean, smart, and have a very sweet temperament.

Yeah I liked the rat my bro had he never bit.. The only things I didnt like is when he smelt like pee or how his nails dug in... Not all gerbils are mean we had some very sweet ones... Thou some of them are just evil... I had one that died chewing the bars of his cage... I had to get my grandpa to pry him off the bars it was sad... He was so nice too..

Haha yeah, a rat will start to stink if you don't keep up with cleaning! Laughing

i had to change the bedding in .Hunter's cage twice a week and I bathed him every three days with baby shampoo. He hated it at first but he learned early on that he got a treat once we were done. He was so cute! He would get a cheese cracker after every bath and he would snatch it and run and hide behind his giant boot (lol) to eat it, like he was being sneaky or something.

Ugh, that sucks, zanster. I have a hamster, macy, and she is so precious! People may say that rodents don't really count as pets, but I love her as much as I love my kittens.
