This might seem like a silly question... Confused

My nails are kind of long, and I would like .Aly's nails to be long too. She doesn't have any history of scratching her face or anything like that. Is it safe to let them grow a bit and not keep them clipped short? I check them just about every day to make sure she doesn't have a hangnail or anything... Embarassed

I dunno really. I clip layla and logan's every week. I think probably wait til she's a bit older cause she might use it as a weapon on other kids Shocked

I think u should keep them short. Its safer cos she can easily scratch her eye or something, plus babies put their fingers in their mouths all the time, and theres loads of bacteria under our nails.

Hmm, I never thought about the bacteria under the nails. Aly does like to eat her hands a lot...

Thanks girls Smile

I think i'd wait so she doesn't end up having a scar on her face just in case. My nephew loves scratching himself and has alot of scratches around his eyes x.X

Amelia didn't start scratching herself until recently so yes I keep them short. The whole bacteria thing is an issue. Lots of germs get under there no matter what we do. So yeah I would keep them short.

Girl, yesterday, oni's nails were long and she scratched the *sh't* out of the side of her face. I was like eeeeeeeekkk! What the hell is this?!? It was a large group of scratched from the back of her ear to her chin!!!!

Clip em clip em clip em!!! Nana loves to watch me cut her nails and clean her ears!!!! She's a strange one I guess...

My daughter scratches one part on the chin whens she gets tired so I have no choice but to clip them once a week.
