So about a month ago, I got diagnosed with depression and generalized anxiety disorder. The doctor put me on medicine to help me with it, and its working finally. But, I have completely lost my sex drive, and I feel like its hindering my relationship with my boyfriend. Is there any way to fix this lack of sex drive before it ruins my relationship? New meds? Or what? Please help, thanks!

Maybe you could take some natural supplements that boost sex drive for women...Do you know about yohimbe...There is a pill I take that is made by the same company that is for woman...I get it at fitrx but they have it at most health stores...I seems to work for me...I am on prozac

Did you have any physical symptoms or were you only experiencing mental symptoms? Other good natural cures are garlic, nettle and red clover.

There are more. Do you notice any differences in feelings and physical sensations based on what you eat?

Hi:

i am sorry to tell you that some doctors will give you medications that don´t cure or treat the cause of your problems. They just treat the symptoms and at the same time they are toxic to your brain. That is why you are getting the lack of sex drive. That also affects your appetite and sleeping pattern.

It is a neurotoxin that unbalance some other aspects of your life. It is addictive, I mean the drug and the doctors. You start depending on them for every thing. You loss control. Don’t let them gain control over you.

You should be careful with your habits. What you eat, do and don’t do. Treat your body with care and it will respond to you. Give it what it needs. Eat the proper food, rest(8-9 hours of good sleep), take exercise as a drug for your mind and your body, take omega 3 supplements.

That seems to be the problem with drugs they fix or should I say cover up the problem but at the same time they have serious to severe side effects.

Here is what I did for my depression.

I educated myself on nutrition. Got of the junk food and started getting sunlight and eating healthy.

I use to have a lump the size of a golf ball on my neck, mood swings, depression etc., after I changed my diet withing months the lump shrank and my mood was totally improved.

My fiance is severely depressed, however nolonger really shows the signs of down and suicede and not knowing himself(i am diagnosed depressed, being tested bipolar so i know the routine)...
he is simply experiencing sever loss of appetite, chronic need for sleep, and total drop in sex drive. also has lost like ten lbs...and he is not that big a guy to begin w...now weighs less then me.
He refuses to go on meds and so i have said okay and am willing to change our lifestyle as mmuch as possible to accomidate a healthier mental state...I was originally thought to have a sleep disorder of excess sleep but learned that this can set in as a result of depression.

Anyway, my question is for any deep advice I can use to get my mom off my case about getting him on meds...my mom is im pretty sure bipolar as well, a total spaz and has a rock solid head.
lol, any tips on either what serious side effects antidep can have on u or how realisticly a healthier lifestyle, and more sunlight is!
Thanks!!
