I am 9 weeks pregnant and having some serious nausea. I went to the doctors and she told me to eat starchy foods to help it. Well how am I supposed to get any nutrients if all I can eat is dry toast? I mean I can't eat or drink anything with out wanting to crawl into bed and ball up. I can't drink juices, eat fruit, just toast and water. Can anyone tell me some other foods that might help me?

As long as u take ur vitamins faithully and eat all the toast that u can u should b okay at first..Thats more than some women can hold down and keep ur body hydrated with lots of water! Talk to your doctor about a vitamin supplement other than prenatals

What about peanut butter and crackers? I heard a lot of women say that's all they could hold down. It's got protein plus it tastes good. I'm not sure what you could hold down but what about waffles with blueberries or something without syrup. You should definately try the crackers though. Now i'm hungry!

Energy Drinks
Have you tried like gatorade or something like that? My friend drinks a lot of that and she has been able to keep it down.

Your body and your baby are built to sustain this type of nausea. As long as you take your prenatal vitamins every day and eat whenever you can, you'll be fine.

Try eating some pasta, a baked potatoe, and white rice. In the meantime if you can hold it down you should try drinking some ensure so you can get some nutrients. Good luck.
