What's wrong with nursing homes? Old people deserve care too, their really swell people, they can teach you so much. (i volunteered at an old folks home).

What a pretty little baby, it breaks me heart that her mom is such a troll.

Nothings wrong with them, I just have a weak stomach, and I know I wouldn't be able to handle wiping an old persons butt, or cleaning up a mess after them in the bathroom... Im going to have a hard enough time as a mother I don't think I could do it at a nursing home lol it's really neat of people who can do it, it's just not for me.

I took a 3-year medical course in high school, and we did rotations at the hospital twice a week. I remember hating to give older people in the .I.C.U bedbaths, because you could see in their eyes the humiliation at not being able to do it themselves. It couldn't have been easy having some high school kid cleaning their genitals. I felt so sorry for them.

Yeah it was bad. We were split into groups of two along with a nurse that we were following around, and I guess the nurses have been doing this way too long. One nurse didn't even bother trying to cover the guy up, she just took his gown off and left it off while she was getting everything ready, and I covered him back up because I thought it was rude. That was so disrespectful. I guess when it becomes just a job to some people, they stop thinking of the patients as people. Confused

.It's one of the reasons I didn't go into health care.
