What's the Deal With People?

I'm so sick of people calling to see if I
had the baby or see how i'm feeling. I
feel like any normal person, i'm just
tired and I have a basketball on my lap.
Also, I can't even go to the darn store
without someone even complete strangers
commenting on how big I am.
Everytime I meet up with someone I know,
they say, "no baby yet?"
obviously not, you fool!!!! That's what
I really want to say. I'm tired of being
polite.
My grandmother just called me, the same
grandmother that said that we better not
have sex b/c we'll hurt the baby's soft
spot and the same grandmother that said
that I need to put a shower curtain on the
seat in my car in case my water bag breaks
while i'm driving.
Well, this time she said, "i'm sick and
tired of getting ready every day to go to
the hospital and you don't call" like
it's my fault!
Then she said, "you probably are going to
need a c-section, since labor isn't
starting on it's own."
what???? Today's my freakin due date!
I politely, but I don't know how, said,
"no, he's going to induce if I don't have
her by the 6th, as long as that works,
i'll be able to have her vaginally"
then she proceeded to tell me about her 3
day labor with my aunt, all about how she
sat in the hall in the hospital for 3 days
b/c they had so many people in labor, she
couldn't get a room.
Sorry, I just need to vent!

I hate strangers tellin me how huge I am
too..But they always add in the fact that
im all belly which makes me feel somewhat
better about temporarily being a cow lol.
Dont worry, girl. Your little angel will
be here *very* soon and you'll forget all
about those annoying a$$ ppl when ur
looking into that sweet little face!

Excuse me, but .H.O.W many years ago did
your grandmother give birth? At *least*
40, right? I would have been like "we
live in an age of technology now..."
.My dad's mother kept telling me to go
into labor over the weekend, because it'd
be more "convenient" for them to drive
down then.
Like I had any control over that!
seriously, tell those people firmly that
you will call them when you go into labor,
and not to call you again. And then turn
your ringer off. All they're going to do
is ruin your last days. You don't need to
be reminded every day that you haven't had
your baby yet.
This reminds me so much of what happened
to me. Jesus! Let me see if I can find
the link, lol.

If I were you I would buy an answerphone
and leave a recorded message telling them
you haven't had the baby yet but will let
everyone know. Then just ignore the
calls!
Tell your hubby to ring 2x, cut off then
ring back again- then you will know its
him.
Thats is seriously what I would do

My grandparents are the kind of people who
would call twice and then come ride to see
if I was okay. They live 2 minutes
away.
They did that the other day.
I didn't answer b/c we were taking a nap
and they came over banging on the door.
When my husband answered it half asleep,
they apologized and left.
A lady I work with has been calling since
I took my maternity leave. She calls at
least twice a week. She asks how i'm
doing and then she starts talking about
work and asking me questions. Hello!
I'm not getting paid right now, don't
freakin bother me!
I stopped answering her calls last week.
I feel bad, but I know i'd feel worse if
i'd answer and be on the phone for an hour
talking about work.

Yeah, my family said "okay, .I'm sorry"
when I told them to stop bothering me and
that I promise i'll call, but then they'd
still call anyway. It's great that people
don't trust you enough to call them.

My sister-in-law called my mother-in-law
the other night to see if I had the baby
b/c she was just wondering.
She's the wife of my husband's twin
brother. We talk to them every single
day, she'd be one of the first to know!
I don't understand that!

Rule #1: don't answer the phone and leave
a polite message on the answering
machine/voicemail that you have not had
the baby yet, but you will call everyone
as soon as you do.
Rule #2: put a do not disturb note on the
door explaining that you need as much rest
as possible now - and .N.O you still
haven't had the baby!
Rule #3: walk, sex, rest, spicy food, etc.
Do everything to get labor started.
Rule #4: spend as much time 'alone' with
hubby as you can - because you'll never
get it again. Well, not for the
foreseeable future anyway
good luck. It will happen.

Thats stupid people saying no baby yet?
Well duh do u see a baby? Lol and saying
you will be overdue or need to be induced
when you havent even reached your due date
yet.
I didnt like it when I wore more fitted
maternity clothes, cos sometimes you want
to show your bump off a bit, and total
strangers would be over friendly, even
touching my bump without asking...Its like
hey back off I dont know you dont touch
me! And when people come upto you after
the babies born, and without even asking,
pick the baby up out the pram to hold him.
That's so rude.

hahahahahaha!!! I used to hate when
people would do that. I mean, come on,
everyone knows that you have absolutely no
control over when the baby's coming so why
do people say dumb ish like that?

stay in there for the next three days so
that I could get some stuff done....But
