My top is actually a long dress. It has a
longish train at the back and the bottom
half is made out of lace. It is lovely
but was very expensive

Danni, becks can probably tell you some
good places to shop for similar items
within london??
Anoter good place but further afield is
oasis in birmingham.
Its loads of small shops over several
floors that all link into each other, but
they have some gothic and fetish types
shops within also.

Camden town in london is the
place to visit for stuff like that. The
whole town is devoted to gothic fashion.
99% of the shops sell goth stuff and there
is 2 markets which have great bargains. I
practically live there as I go to the
gothic club there electric ballroom.
Camden is on the northern line and london
underground. Everyone should visit it!

I know you didnt ask my opinion, but I
keep seeing all your goth pics and I never
say anything usually, but yeh I said what
I think now. And I dont think its right
to dress that way around kids everyday
either, sure for a costume party but
please you're a parent now and you're
supposed to grow out of the rebellious
goth punk teen stage. And your mum looks
outrageous and ridiculous, hasnt she grown
up?! Its no wonder you're that way when
your own mum is tho I guess.

If you'd of seen any of the numerous
photos of me that I have posted you would
realise I do not dress gothic
unless i'm going out. I am normally in
jeans and t-shirts. Anyway, I don't see
how the way I dress would affect my kids?
Am I putting them in danger by wearing a
corset? I don't think so! Just cause you
don't like the way I dress don't be so
pathetic to make out that I am a bad
mum.
And you just damn well leave my mum out of
this. It is nothing to do with you how
she dresses. How is it childish to take
pride in your appearence? At least shes
not a middle aged slob like many mums I
know.
She has an active social life with other
goths and is a fantastic person.
To put it bluntly- we will dress any way
we please. We have put up with alot of
prejudice from people like you and it has
just made us stronger.
Good day to you

Woah ladies back to your corners please.
Many people are scared by the goth look
because they associate it with satanism
and cults and witchcraft, etc.
And while it may scare some people not
used to it, if you see it day in day out
it will definately no scare you.
It is just a form of dress and completely
normal.
Ok lets be nice.

im not scared of people dressing that way,
but I was brought up in a religious
family, and I do associate that with the
stuff kia mentioned, satanists, witches,
cults etc. Sorry my opinion offends u
becks. I know goth people are generally
nice...The few ive met anyway, but when I
see that stuff it makes me think of the
cults etc, its all linked. I dont
celebrate halloween either, tho im not
religious myself. I just dont agree with
all that stuff....People trying to be/look
like evil things. I know its just a bit
of fun for kids, but theres a stronger
meaning behind it all, just my opinion and
I wouldnt do it, my kids wont be allowed
to either. I'll probably take them to a
church anti-halloween party when they're
old enough instead haha!

Everyone is different and that's good!
I have a gothy streak in me (i have a few
different streaks actually lol)
i've got a bit trad goth, bit cyber goth,
bit cyber kid, bit conservative
feminine).
But on saturday I was in banbury (we went
to ann summers lol) and these three kids
(mid teens) were in full goth gear.
2 lads in long black leather coats,
eyeliner, hair etc and a girl (quite
chunky) in dark red velvet and black lace
with lace gaunlets, black curly hair.
I mean they looked so cool but even I was
like woah, becaue they were pretty
intimidating to see altogether, yet kinda
impressive too.

I understand where you are coming from but
it is a common stereotype. nobody
at the place I go to does anything satanic
including cults, worship witchcraft etc.
We just love the victorian style of the
gothic clothing.
My mum is quite religious herself and
volunteers at a local church every friday
helping homeless people.
We have all been christened and I wear a
cross around my neck all the time.
We think gothic clothes are very elegant
and fancy. The have alot of detail put
into them. For us it is purely just about
the clothes. We do not adopt any other
gothic ways

I guess it depends what type of goth you
are then...I know what u mean becks, but
if you like victorian clothes, you wouldnt
be necessarily a goth cos they didnt wear
all black/mostly black stuff at all.
The ones I see like kia said, who look way
over the top goth, as much goth type stuff
on as you can wear, I think its for
attention and to be rebellious.
Im not going to say anything else about
it, ive said my opinion and explained why,
and I think more people are going to be
pissed I said anything at all.

You are entitled to your opinion and I
understand as I used to find goths scary
before I got into the whole scene. I
still stare at some o.T.T goths and think
'you could tone that down a bit' lol
i feel the same way about gangsters/
rudeboys whatever you want to call them.
You know the guys who think it looks good
with their jeans so low down you can see
all their boxer shorts- i'm like 'what?
How can you think that looks good?'
anyway, i'm done.

I don't like goths, and I think it would
scare my kids. But since beckster has
been dressing like that for so long, her
kids probably get used to it.
But, even though I don't like goths I
don't care what they wear, I don't talk
bad about them and could care less what
they do or how they dress! It's no
different than a girl dressed like a sl*t
or a fat girl in a tube top, do what I do,
close your eyes!!!!!! Lol!
