Hi all
i recently moved to the uk from the states and had to transport 7 months worth of the ring with me. I kept it cold for the duration of my travel (had to drive cross country first) but there was one night that the fridge at the hotel accidentally froze the rings. I'm not sure if they were all frozen but the one on top definitely was, stupid fridge. I'm worried that having been frozen the rings are no longer effective. I just put in my first ring last week (i'm still protected by the shot at this point though) but I was hoping someone could assuage my fears as to whether or not the rings are still good to use. I don't want to find out the hard way especially being in a foreign country!! Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
Many many thanks,
g

I think you'd be best getting professional advice from your doctor on this one.

Medical care is free in the uk so you just need to go register with a local doctor.

Also we have the nuva ring too, so i'm not sure why you transported 7 months worth (or even why a doctor would give you that much).

Especially as the nuva ring is free in this country too (all birth control is when obtained from your doctor).

prior to dispensing to patients, store refrigerated 2–8°c (36–46°f). Before inserting a nuvaring®, patients should always check the expiration date on the label. After dispensing to patients, nuvaring® can be stored for up to four months at 25°c (77°f); excursions permitted to 15–30°c (59–86°f) (see usp controlled room temperature in the full prescribing information). Avoid storing nuvaring® in direct sunlight or at temperatures above 30°c (86°f).

For the dispenser: when nuvaring® is dispensed to the patient, place an expiration date on the label. The date should not exceed either four months from the date of dispensing or the expiration date, whichever comes first.

you don't need to keep it refrigerated after it is dispensed to you.
It does say avoid temps above 30°c but nothing about below 2°c
