Q: His Mum Hates Me Now

Well our parents know now and I spent an hour last night of her shouting at me that I am ruining her son's life and the best thing for the baby will be to have an abortion. In her opinion I am only keeping this baby because I have an emotional void, I have never had an emotional void in my life I just don't believe in abortion is that such a bad thing?

Aww hunnie noo its not a bad thing. Dont listen to her, you do what you want ok, its your baby not hers! I hate hearing about mother in laws thinking they know whats best. Geeeshh.. Sometimes they might have good advice, but telling your sons girlfriend to have an abortion is far from it.

How old are you dann?

My mum was 16 when she fell pregnant and my dad's mum told her to get an abortion too. She told her that she was bringing shame on the family. My mum refused to kill her baby and I thank god she did because otherwise I would not have my wonderful big brother!

You stick to your guns. Don't have an abortion if you don't want one!

I think you should tell that woman to shut the hell up. I am certain that you didn't get yourself pregnant. Why does everyone always have to blame the girl? Don't let anyone make your decision for you, you do whatever you want to do. This is your baby not hers, so she has no say in it.

at the end of the day it's your life and your babys'. You are the one who has to live with the consequences for the rest of your life. I think you would regret an abortion and the guilt would stay with you forever cos you already said you don't believe in it.

Can you try avoiding your mother in law for a while? Maybe she'll change her mind once the baby is born...She'll fall in love with him/her and hopefully get over the bad feelings shes got towards you now. She might not be in your life that much in the future anyway, like if you move or if she moves. Do what you feel is right, it's your body, your life, your baby, no one elses!

I'm 15, exactly why this baby wasn't planned but I wouldn't change it for the world now. It just doesn't seem fair to me isn't it traditionally the parents of the mum the one who kick off? She even had the neve to tell me that if I really loved dom I would have an abortion and that she would do if it was her. When she had her youngest he was a mistake and they wern't financially stable at all but she kept her baby. I don't want my baby to grow up without one set of grandparents because thats what happened to me and I know how it feels.

You're extremely young, but that doesn't mean that your baby isn't a living thing. His mother is probably just scared out of her mind.. But that doesn't excuse how she's acting. Be a woman &stand up to her! It's your child, &whether she likes it or not, her son put it there! How old is your boyfriend? You guys should make a plan, does he have a job? If not, maybe he could go get one, &maybe you can find a job doing something really easy, too? Show them that you want this baby &are willing to work hard! Good luck, girl. Keep us posted!

Dom's 15 aswel 16 next wednesday and he's getting a job as soon as he can and i'm going to try and get a weekend job I know its not a lot of money but it's still money it could be the difference between milk and no milk for the baby. We're keeping this baby whether she wants us to or not it's her choice if she wants to be involved but personally I wouldnt throw the oppertunity to be a loving grandmother away...

Exactly. If she chooses to shun you guys ¬ be a part of her own grandchild's life.. That's her own fault &her own major loss.

i bet she'll change her mind once the baby is born. Or you could ask your bf to show her any ultrasound pictures you get, they might help too. If she says she doesnt wanna look at them, he could leave one out somewhere she's likely to see it. (make it your least favourite one tho incase she throws it out or something Confused ) just an idea.

If she doesnt change her mind, at least your baby will have 2 parents and 1 set of granparents right? That's more than a lot of kids have. My son pretty much just has me right now.
