I haven't had a nosebleed since I was about four or five. I'm currently seventeen, going on eighteen in january and for the last four days i've had nosebleeds for about 10 minutes each and at the same time a pain in the very back/top of my head (about where the 'crown' is). The nosebleeds aren't gushing or anything, it's more of a steady slow flow, so two to three kleenexes are used each time.Does anybody know what might be happening? Or for that matter if it's serious?

Re: Worried.
When you were a kid did they ever tell you that it was something that you used to eat? Do you tend to get nervous alot? Or get stressed out? It could be various of things. What I would do is everytime you get one write down what you ate or what you were doing and after a few times alot of the situations are the same then try different foods. Try it and let me know what happens. If that doesn't work then go to the doc.

they never told me anything like that to my memory, and i'm rarely nervous or stressed out. I was just walking around with my boyfriend, then I felt the pain in the back of my head and then I felt dripping from my nose and I wiped it with my finger and it was all bloody. So I was like, what the heck :s and if i'll post tomorrow night hopefully about what I ate and if I had another nosebleed, which hopefully I don't have another one, especially at the university orientation and tour I have to be at tomorrow. So
I did get another nosebleed today. But thankfully not at the university. My head still hurt. And I ate a bagel & cream cheese and a cheeseburger and fries today.

Well....
Maybe you should do some research on the internet asking "what causes a nose bleed?" things like that see what you come up with even go to the library and see what you find. Compare the symptoms they give you with yours maybe you can diagnose yourself. Keep me posted

I had that same thing happen to me last year around this time, so I dismissed it as a "seasonal change", and like you I had some pain at the top of my head. It got pretty bad, so I went to the doc, and it ended up that I had a sinus infection and didn't even know it! The infection was due to the dry air, so with some antibiotics, and a humidifier, I was over it in a few days, and have been fine without nose bleeds ever since. If it keeps happening, you should see your doctor.

Hi there! I am not a dr but do you have high blood pressure? It could be sinus infection or it could be something else. When I was younger, I used to get a lot of nose bleeds and they called it something but can't for the life of me remember what they called it but thy told me to use ice to the back of my throat and it would stop the bleeding as it freezes the blood vessels but I am not saying to try this as it could make your situation worse it did and I no longer have the problems plus they drained my sinuses, now they say that acupuncture is helping some people with sinus problems you might want to go to the dr to get a diagnosis and see if he/she can help you out because it seems to me that your situation is not getting any better.
Good luck!
