Post D&C Protocol when TTC Posted: 10-27-06 14:48pm
I was 14 weeks when my doctors found out
that theres was no heart beat. I have had
a D&C 1 week ago. My doctor says to wait
to menstrual cycles to try again. Is this
normal to wait this long?
According to your description, it seems
that your fetus died without a spontaneous
miscarriage and the cervical dilatation
and endometrial curettage was performed to
remove the dead fetus from the uterus. If
there aren’t any complications, the
endometrium needs at least one cycle
(about a month) to heal and to be able to
carry another pregnancy. This is why your
doctor was correct in telling you to wait
for the next period to come.
