My boyfriend and I found out we were pregnant at about 5 weeks. A week and a half later I miscarried. His previous girlfriend had had 2 miscarriages. He believes it has something to do with him. I just believe that its not the right time. I have had one child previously. What could the probable reasons be if he were right? We were not promoting nor preventing a baby. But I became very excited and even with his worry about what would happen I tried to excite him about it. And I think I did. It kils me that I kept talking about it and tried to get him to be excited when he was so worried about it. I told my doctor about it and she said if it happens again, she would test him. What could the reason be? Does anyone know? If so, could you hekp me out, just so I can do some searching on the subject. Thank you.

Firstly, i'm really sorry for your loss.

Miscarriage can be caused by an abnormality in the chromosomes passed on from either the male or female so it's possible your boyfriend may be passing on something but only tests would show if this was the case.

I think if it's really bothering you, you should go back to your doctor and ask if the tests can be done now rather than waiting to see if it happens again.

Best of luck!

first of all sorry about your loss.. From my past two miscarriages I have learned that the baby just couldnt form fully genetically regardless! It may be that the sperm was genetically diformed or your egg as well. They told me that if it continued after three times. There might be a probem. I would have him tested! My question is are trying to get pregnant. You mentioned you already had a baby and im asuming not by him! I was just wondering because it may really effect you emotionally if you decide to get pregnant again andu have another miscarriage or he leaves. Wish u luck

Preventing Miscarriage
You should buy the book preventing miscarriage. It is amazing and it goes over all the possibilities and what to test for. I've had two misacarriages and it's frustrating when doctors tell you to wait and see if it happens again! I am sure you could find a doctor that would give your boyfriend testing. From what I have learned, things that cause miscarriage from the man are easily treated.
Follow your instincts and good luck!
