I would like to know if having a hysterectemy would help me to loose weight. I was diagnosed with pos when I was a teenager and told to "just get used to being fat". I am currently taking injections to enduce menepause but after 4 injections, I am still having a period. Is this normal and should I have the hysterectemy to help my situation?

Thankyou for your time,

Have you had your thyroid and insulin levels checked? Just wanted to be sure...

From what I found online, a hysterectomy will not cure pcos because they are an endocrine problem, not just reproductive.

But I'm not really sure, that's just what I could find online.

Have you tried speaking to a dietician? Is your blood sugar normal? Is your thyroid normal?
