This may sound kinda weird...But please read Smile I have this strange vaginal odor....It's very very strong and smells exactly like raw onions. It's very unpleasant. Now I have heard that eating onions can make your vaginal secretions smell/taste differently, but I have not eaten any onions in the past while. The only thing I can think of is, in the summer time when me and my boyfriend went to his lake, I was chopping up onions for dinner (which I did not eat any of by the way) and it was like just inhaling the scent or something made me have the same vaginal odor. It went away after a week or so. Well a couple weeks ago, for the first time since then, I was chopping up onions at work, and now all of a sudden the odor is back, and has been there for about a week and a half or so and I would say I have cut up onions 4 times since then, so I am thinking that may be why it's not going away. I have showered and washed numerous times, I don't have any sign of an infection of any kind....Everything is normal except for the odor. Does anyone have any idea? I just got my period today, so we will see how things are afterwards...But I am thinking about just leaving the onions next time for someone else to cut, but this is disgusting and I am so embarrassed and don't even want to have sex with my boyfriend anymore. Sad please let me know, thanks!

When I was younger, every time I ate "famous amos" cookies, my cudda would smell like cookies!! I kid you not.

Man, i'm not sure what to tell you, except stay away from the onions. I mean, I know I don't eat those cookies anymore!!!!!

Diet Related... Or Soaking Up the Onion?
Somethings that you come in contact with is sorta how you'll smell... Or taste... You said that you didn't eat it and you claim that the smell comes from down under. But do you think that it might just be your hands? It takes forever to wash off the sent of onions on the hand... But I wouldn't know how it is in your case. I am sorry for not quiet understanding if I got it wrong but I can give some advice that may help... Not sure cause I am no doctor so by all means do what you want Wink all I can give is that after being in contact with the "onions of doom" you should try to have fruits such as strawberries.... They can help possibley change the odor and taste away from sour oniony to a sweeter type.

If anything also try to avoid onions and if you still have the problem then maybe it is something other than the onions that make you smell that way... Perhaps it could be something that is in your diet. Either way good luck with figuring out what it is...

You're really brave for sharing... Smile so no hard feelings... It's good to seek help

I think i figured it out.
Lol..okay, I don't think ur vagina smells like onions, but this also happens to me. My hands will smell fine until I do the deed. Thing is, this is only smelt on my left hand(the hand i use to touch the onions with) when i chop them. So when it comes into contact with any discharge from down there, it works its way through the soap and brings out the smell of the onion that is already on ur hand, and is probably there the whole time, Soap doesnt help it...only for a while. But i think this discharge from down under, activates the normal scent of ur hands. or body for that matter. I dunno if that makes sense, but thats what i came to, i chop an onion a day..i would say..and i dont always have this problem, but when i do its only my left hand. So that may tell u that it has nothing to do with the discharge smell its prob just ur hand, and the reaction it has to discharge..pls i may be wrong..let me know if u solved this And how.
