Hello everyone!
For the past 3-5 days, i've had this burning sensation down in my stomach. I've had to belch a lot, and i've been very naustious. It's like I have to constantly keep getting gas, and air from my stomach. No matter what I do, sometimes eating helps, sometimes it makes it worse. A lot of people say the burning sensation is in the upper abdomen, but my burning is in my lower abdomen. Sometimes i'll even have a sharp pain either on my left or right side mostly on my left tho. It's sharp and very short in time. I can't figure out what this is, I came to the conclusion that it might be a stomach ulcer, but then I read about gastritis. Any ideas or thoughts on what may be causing me so much pain. I've been like sick, and i've been losing weight. I do smoke, have for a little over 2 years. Looking to quit soon. If anyone else has tried quitting can you give me some advice for that too? Smile

Same Boat!
Hi there! Finally after having the same symptoms you have described, I broke down and went to a specailist. Had an endoscopy this past friday. Was diagnosed with gastritis. Actually helicobacter pylori being the culprit. This is something that without antibiotics you can never get over. Its not a fun treatment as there are 2 antibiotics that you have to take 2 times a day for 14 days. So, nausea and abdominal cramping will still be present for a bit. If you continue to have these symptoms, I do suggest you go see a specailist and find out. I thought I had ulcers, that gnawing and pain, plus the gas, belching and acid taste. This is something also that will only get wrose with time, you can't treat it yourself. Hope this has helped you!
