I just finnished watching a movie with john trovlta.. U might kno the movie I didnt catch the name of it but its the one where at the bigening it shows sperm going into the egg and making the baby.. Oh and the girl from the jenny greg commercials is in it too.. Anyways I was watching it, and when I was watching the baby grow inside of her it was I unno.. Weird thinking that thats happening in me/ happend lol... Yeah... And then once she had the baby out and it was looking at her, I just got pissed off and was also in awe.. I mean I want to see my son look at me and be in my arms.. But hes not and that just pissed me off..

This morning I woke up and I saw the crib and I just starred at it and started crying.. He's not there, and I feel like he dosnt want to come out.. I unno and then shawn got home from lunch and I was still just sitting there and I heard his car alarm so I wipped off my face and started changing so he wouldnt ask whats wrong because I know if I said I just want him out he would just say awe.. And there nothing shawn can do to help it go faster anyways.. *sigh* im just so sick of being preggers

That's "look who's talking" Wink classic 80's movie! And the girl is .Kirstie .Alley. She used to be hot stuff, but now she's pretty much fallen out of the spotlight.

I'm sorry you're feeling depressed though Sad you'll get to see his face, and all of this will just be a memory!

This makes me so so sad.

That so many of you want your babies out early when there is no medical reason for it.
Even to be induced at 38 just because they want baby out. - baby will come out when s/he is good and ready unless there are any medical complications (which is different). A normal pregnancy is 40 weeks not 38.

Be glad that baby is staying in, getting bigger and stronger so they can enter this world healthy.

It really hurts to read posts like this.

Aww .Kia Sad *hugs*

i understand, though. I was just as miserable. Pregnancy is so hard on your body and screws with your emotions so much. I couldn't look at .Aly's crib at the end of mine, because it was so sad seeing it empty. I wanted to meet her so badly! Combine that with the fact that your body seems to be falling apart at the seams, and you've got depression comparable with .P.P.D. (only pre, instead of post.)

it's not that we don't care about our baby's development. I think somewhere deep down we don't want them out earlier than they're ready for. But you get so desperate at the end...

*sigh*

.I'm going to say a prayer tonight for .Oliver. Love you, .Kia.

Man, .Kia, I totally agree with you.

Kayoni was born at 37 weeks and it killed me inside. She was soo tiny and *not* ready to come out.

If they could've kept her in for 2/3 more weeks, I would've been sooo excited and willing!

I actually *wanted* her to go to 40 weeks so that she would be at her healthiest.

But, that's alllllll in the past now. Lol...She's 6 months and I wouldn't want to miss a second!!!!!

But ladies, .Kia is right. Although you're uncomfortable(we alllll were) you need to keep your angel's best interest in mind. If he stays in there 2 more weeks, he'll be able to perform everything he needs.

Because .Oni was born early, she had *severe* .Jaundice. Which full-term babies rarely get.

When that baby is screaming all night, you;ll wish he's be back in the belly!!!

Good .Luck!!

i totally understand what your saying. I wish .Amelia could have stayed in there until 40 weeks but because of the prevous c-section she couldn't and I was already beginning to rupture once they started the c-section. It wouldn't have been a good idea for her to stay in there much longer.

I wish with all my heart that my .Hunter could have stayed in there for his 40 weeks because if he could have he would have been able to get the heart surgery he needed to live. Its very discourging that people want to rush the delivery of their babies just because they are unconfortable.

Babies that are born before their delivery day tend to have more problems like .Jaundice, breathing problems, and also small things like not sleeping well, not being able to digest formula and breast milk correctly resulting in spitting up and they tend to get colic worse.

that's a medical reason though - then you have to compromise to get the best possible.

I see where you girls are coming from but in my defense, I don't want him out just because i'm a little uncomfortable, i'm in excruciating pain and i'm exhausted. I barely sleep because of the pain and because I can't stay in one position for what seems like more than 20 minutes. I also think the bedrest is making me feel worse, I need to be able to get up and move around again.

I think once we reach that 37 week mark (which is full-term) most women are just done. It's not like anyone here is wishing for their baby to be born at 32 weeks and I think it's mostly just venting anyway.

And it certainly doesn't help things when my mom calls me every single day to ask if i've felt any "twinges", as if i'm not going to call her when the time comes.

Although 37 weeks is full term, the baby is gestationally only 35 weeks.

If I would've gone to 40 weeks, .Oni would not have been so small, and she wouldn't have had such severe .Jaundice that she did.

I was in agony at the end of my pregnancy too. But I was willing to deal with it to have a healthy baby.

I understand, with you being on bed rest, how you would want this over! Lol...But you just gotta hang in there and let the bread finish cooking! Hahaha

i kept falling because my body was jacked up! Lol...I was waaay to top heavy!!!

I wish all of you ladies about to pop much luck!!

I can't wait to see all the new wittle babas!

I was 37 weeks along and in a lot of pain, but I still wanted the best for my baby. I really wanted to even wait the few more days till my scedualed c-section just so that she could have been in there just that much longer. My hips hurt horribly....So I know how you feel.....

My lil one was born at 34 weeks (my 3rd child sorry ) and he has so many food allergys and lots of quirks and is developmentally and some physically challenges. But he is getting better at 3 years old thanks to his extra therepy and the help of easter seals and his developmental pre school he started showing improvement and know at 4 yrs he can sing his abc and count to 20 every time he does tyhis I start to tear up with happiness. So I pray for all of you soon to be mommys that you all goe to full term for your bodies and for when babies are ready to come out healthy. My best to you all.

I'm guess i'm real selfish. I wanted my babies out so bad cause I had recurring utis during pregnancy which made me hospitalised.

They were both born at 38 weeks. Layla weighed 7lb 4oz and logan was 7lb 7oz so I guess they were ready to come out

Yeh you do get fed up at the end. Having to pee every 10 minutes, waking up several times during the night to pee! Tired from lack of sleep, can't lay down comfortable anymore, braxton hicks contractions, constant back ache ....Its enough to make you want him/her born already..But still healthy. On the other hand I was scared of labour so I wanted him to stay in too!

I don't think i'm selfish at all. Of course I want a healthy baby and I haven't done anything to compromise his health through my whole pregnancy. When I say i'm in excruciating pain i'm not talking about a little hip pain or discomfort. I feel like i'm dying, I can literally barely walk and at times I can barely even move. Because i'm paranoid about doing anything to harm my baby I haven't taken my doctor's advice to take painkillers or anything, I won't even take tylenol (i think i've taken it 3 times my entire pregnancy). I'm 39 and a half weeks, if he were to be born now he would be perfectly healthy and it would certainly take some of the strain off my body. Anyway, it's almost over. My doctor said they wouldn't let me go past 40 1/2 weeks, which is 1 week from today.

Yeah, im almost 39 weeks Smile so im pretty sure it would be safe for my man to come out anyways.. I havent taken any pain meds either, even when I get my really bad headackes or my leg growing pains that bring me to tears.. I just didnt want to risk hurting my lil man... I have a doc appointment today, one I was hoping I wouldnt end up going to but I guess im gonna be going to it cause he isnt born yet

If you're on bed rest or hospitalised then there must be a medical reason - you don't get put on bed rest or hospitalised for nothing.

If there is a medical reason I can understand.
