Q: Sensation at the base of Neck
asked by: DoctorQuestion on October 25th, 2006
I hear and feel a fizzing sound/sinsation at the base of my neck at times. It is not painful but quite annoying. It reminds me of the sound pop rocks make while in your mouth. What causes this? Is there anything I can do to prevent it?

The symptoms your report (fizzing sound/sensation at the base of your neck) are very inconclusive. You can seek the counsel of an ENT-specialist to examine your sense of hearing and to help diagnose the condition.
