My poor baby!

Aly has no hair on the back of her head anymore! I was getting so excited because it's finally growing a bit, and now she has this bald patch!

We think it's getting rubbed off because she kicks her legs when she's on her back, and it makes her head rub against the mattress.

When does a baby's hair start to grow for real? Confused

Awe shes still beautiful with or with out hair lol. I dont know the answer to your question but maybe it will start growing back soon. I was born bald and didnt have hair until I was almost 4. But I was a cute baby so that made up for it lol. Wink

Laura, my neighbor's daughter had the same thing up until about 2 months ago! She's 10 &a half months now &her bald spot has disappeared. In the past few months she's been playing sitting up &now she crawls. So that may have something to do with it!

I think that it startes to grow back once the baby starts to sit up more and crawl and doesn't spend so much time on her back. Melia is starting to get a bald spot too. It's too cute.

Hahahahhaha...Oh man, thank god .Oni doesn't sleep on her back!! I'd freak if she had a bald spot. Thank god it's gonna be winter and you can keep a hat on her wittle head.

Now, granted, all of the hair on the top of oni's head fell off from the birth, but it's just now starting to get long in the back and work it's way up to the front.

But, she doens't lay down on the back of her head at all, except when she's playing with her little hanging thing that has the toys that hang over her.

Other than that, she scoots backwards in her stroller and bounce her off in her bouncer!!!

I think it's cute when babies have bald spots!!

When she sleeps, she does it with one head turned to the side, so she doesn't sleep on the back of her head. But she rubs the back of her head when she kicks her legs, and we think that's what's rubbing the hair off.

I hope it fills back in soon. Sad

Logan is practically bald too but I think that had alot to do with his 'wrestling helmet' he had to wear. Layla has a think mop of hair at his age. Its kinda cute though-

she won't be bald forever Mr. Green

If she sleeps in the exact same position she may also get a flat spot on her head.

I was taking a tour of the hospital the other day and one of the nurses said it's a good idea to turn the baby from her back, to her sides, to avoid bald and flat spots.

yeah my son wears a helmet for that reason. I would turn his head but he would just move it back every time.

Aly co-sleeps with us (not by our choice... That's the only way she sleeps) and turns from side to side on her own. She honestly doesn't sleep with the back of her head on the mattress.

Our pedi examined her head when we took her for her 2 month shots. She was really happy that .Aly didn't have any flat spots on her skull.
