It is always a good idea to check with your dr before doing exercises, walking is generally good and don't forget your kegal's, light exercises are good, if you belong to a gym,or call a gym they can give some information, it is generally fun working out with other pregnant women and you can learn more about your breathing while working out and they generally keep it low-key, if you have the time. I did not gain that much with my pregnancy's either, the main thing is is to eat properly even though it is difficult as you cannot help but to go with those crvings sometimes, mine was brownies and pudding. The main thing is is that you enjoy your pregnancy!

My doctor told me that walking is the only for sure safe exercise during pregnancy... He said never do anything like pilates, ab crunches, or anything that uses a machine (like ellipticals) to avoid machine malfunction and risk of you falling. I think the only thing that is important is that you walk often and eat healthy. (i did neither and I gained 42 pounds so far! And I have 6 weeks left.) the fact is that women worry to much about their figure during pregnancy and forget that the most important thing to remember is that we're making a beautiful little human being and their health and safety is the most important thing. You might exercise and eat well during pregnancy and still have a "scrunchy" stomach afterwards. But it is important to remember that you can always diet and exercise after that baby is born Smile

Maternty exercising is more about yor breathing and walking an very light exercising, it is more about a get together have fun time, it is nothing heavy duty at all! You generally get enough exercise after the baby is born anyway, if you do gain it it will come off and it always takes us time to get our bodies back in shape after having a baby anyway, their is never no need to worry about it. I agree walking is great!
