Please Read! Ingrown Hairs/red Dots On Legs Posted: 10-23-06 00:46am
I usually wax my legs, as I have coarse
hair and shaving hosts a variety of
problems-- ingrown hairs, bumps, thick
hair growth. Still, after having shaved
for several years, I have red dots and
ingrown hairs, mainly on the front of my
legs. This was only made worse this
summer, when shaving further irritated my
skin. Now I wax, but I can't seem to get
rid of these red dots. A few of them are
due to hyperpigmentation (scars) from
irritation. My legs have been like this
for a while...Usually if I wax for an
extended period of time, it gets a little
better, but never goes away completely.
Aside from lasor, does anyone have any
tips?

If you have a Dermatologist I would
recommend going to them and have them
remove it as doing it yourself can further
the problem and create an infection
especially if it already is infected. Also
be sure to moisturize really good after
shaving, waxing or whatever type of hair
removal you use. I noticed using Cetaphil
cream every night on my legs has
significantly reduced the amount of red
bumps and irritation I get from shaving.
Anyways thats just my 2 pennies:)
