If your uterus is gone, no there is no way you can get pregnant. Your uterus is needed to hold the baby while growing. Have you had a partial hysterectomy? I am actually leaning towards having one myself? Please let me know....

Pregnancy After Partial Hysterectomy
Tricky question.
Will depend on what organs you have had removed.
Ovaries are gone? No chance of getting pregnant. One ovary and the uterus gone? Well....You have to remember ectopic pregnancies.
I was pregnant twice in the fallopian tube - though having an ectopic pregancy can mean that the egg is fertalized anywhere other than the uterus.

Keep us posted as to what's going on with you.
Please.
Take care,
lori

I Dont Think So
Hi,
thats one question that I had in mind to ask my doc. Only cause I had my ovaries and tubes left in, but according to the way the surgery is done, if you have your cervix removed there is no way you can have a ecoptic pregnancy, after your uterus is removed, the area where the cervix used to be is cuffed up, closed up, not by stiches, but they fold it closed and it closes on its own, so that means that no sperm can go up into the tubes. Thats why the docs say it takes 6 weeks to heal cause the insides are healing up too and the most important part to heal is the area where the cervix used to be, there are women who want the cervix left in but the doc says that poses a lot of problems later on, like it is a possibility that it may sag out, or that it may become infected. So I say theres no way to get pregnant in the tubes, although I am going to ask the doc even if it is embarrassing.
Good luck!
Pat

I had the same question. I had a hysterectomy done two years ago and I still have my ovaries I do want to have a baby now and I was told that I could used my egg and my boyfriend sperm I just needed a uterus and my girlfriend said that she would carry the baby for me. So I don't know if you want to go that route or not but that is an option that's if you know and trust someone to do that for you good luck and keep me posted
