Sad for 2 and a half years I have severe gerd and acid reflux. Way too much acid. 2 years ago the doctor put me on lozec for a month (worked very good) I went off and all the symptoms returned. I took a scope and nothing was found. He said I had too much acid and said to take lozec for forever. About a year ago the lozec quit working(2 tablets a day) and all hell broke lose. All the terrible symtoms you can think off were my everyday war. I lost 20lbs and nothing helped. After a lot of tests my doctor said my body just needs a change and put me on pariet for a month. In 1 day I could feel relief. After a month I went back to lozec and now am feeling it's quitting on me again. Do I have to pop 2- 20mg tablets of lozec every day for the rest of my life and always watch what I eat. Even on lozec and pariet I can not eat any pork and none dairy products. What is wrong with me. I do know that there is help out there. Please help me. Confused and depressed
