Hey ya'll

question, and I have seen this posted before but this is a little different. I am definitely a hairy person. I keep everything trimmed downstairs but not shaved cause ouch.
But the problem is I always seem to have an odor in the crotch area, and also what can feel like skin irritants or a rash? I bath daily of course and use good soap etc.
What can I do to get rid of it? I am nervous about having sex because I don't want a girl to be put off. I also am scared to death of getting a blow job cause well... Her mouth will be down there and nose.
I have heard some people say to use powder after the shower? What kind of powder? Is she going to be able to see that or taste it if she goes down on me?
Please help, haven't had sex in four years and this is part of the reason, too scared about it.
Let me know, asap, have girls that I could be with right now haha.
Thanks!

First off if you bath/shower daily there should be no reason for you to have a offensive smelly crotch.

I am assuming as you wash daily that you also change your underwear?

Men have a natural musky odour in their crotch that is designed to attract the female.

If you are sure tht the smell is offensive, go and speak to your doctor as you may have a slight bacterial/fungal infection causing the smell which could be cleared up real quick.

After a shower, make sure you are properly dry in the creases at the tops of your legs/groin area.
If that means walking around for 20 mins in the buff so be it!
The powder mentioned I assume is standard talcum powder (baby powder is best), the purpose of which is to absorb excess moisture and protect the skin.
It's a great idea - you don't need that much either.
And unless you have put it on just before asking your girl to give you head or unless you drowned in the stuff then no she won't taste it.

Another idea is to get your girl in the shower with you just before having sex that way any sweat and smell from the day are washed off and you are both fresh and clean to enjoy each other.

Kia, you don't know what you're talking about, I shower everyday, change my underwear everyday and I have the same Oder in my crotch. I wash WITH soap down there and the Oder comes back after a few hours of working.
Men work hard and sweat, I sweat in the crotch area. I believe others when they say it's a bacteria that causes it.
This Oder in me just started about a month ago and I'm 55 years old.

To the original poster.

Are you by any chance uncircumcised? If so, I might know why.

oh please, Mikolas-get over that one quick! that would be biased if I have heard it and actually that's a first I have heard someone assume an uncircumcised man is smelly. Maybe you have had a bad experience, I'm sorry for your tragedy!
Mr. Oldman55, I don't think you should so boldly come out and tell Kia she doesn't know what she is talking about. She is giving her personal suggestions as this person was asking. You on the other hand, must know everything by now, being 55, so don't bother to read this old post.
Anyone else reading that has this issue, I agree with the getting in the shower together idea or getting showered right before being intimate, this is a very good way to "insure" things are fresh, if it is possible.
Another thing is to take a look at what kind of underwear you are wearing? Perhaps if you are wearing briefs, changes to boxers and use cotton. I don't like the powder idea as this would mask and seal your body's own behavior.
If this is an extremely offensive odor, you should ask your doctor about it. Is there an offensive odor with discharge (ejaculation)? What kind of foods do you eat (diet)? What kind of soap are you using? Have you tried other soaps? Have you tried using Ivory soap, unscented, or something plain and safe for babies, to see if that helps with your body and with the "feeling of irritants" and such. Also, what kind of detergent are you using to launder your clothing and what are your laundering habits? Those are other things that you can evaluate and perhaps on your own come to conclusion or find any prominent factor that might be irritating your body's natural system.
As Kia said, there is a natural musky smell that is meant to attract women. It is a natural musky smell, not loud and offensive, but musky. The right woman will be attracted to a healthy musky smell of the right man. (as in chemistry and phermones)
Hope this helps anyone who is reading.

If the scent is offensive to you, different than the way your body smells when you sweat, odds are it's a bacterial infection. Adding talc to a fungal or bacterial infection will make things a lot worse as it essentially creates a protective barrier for your infection to stay warm and undisturbed. Pick up a bar of anti-fungal soap, just about any drugstore sells it. Make sure you wash with it from your navel to mid-thigh and rinse very throroughly. If you go through the bar and you're still encounterring that oder you'd want to talk to a doctor then.

smelly balls
i have to agree with most of the post here and I want to add that I started smelling and sweating after I was squirted on during sex. After that, I have not stopped the smell. I tried bleach, alcohol, vapor rub, uv light... hunting soap... vaginal stuff.... You name it, and i have tried it. Oh, my crotch does not burn anymore after the vapor rub.... Thanks to this post, i am going to try spray deodorant (not anti-perspirant) Also, i just noticed that it was smelly then it stopped (like moving from a 9-bad to a 4-smelly).... I hope this works.... but I still think it is a fungus. (hey... remember... we are probably re-infecting ourselves...)
