Im just woundering.. Do you have to loose your mucus plug before you can go into labor? Or can it come out while your in labor?

Some people will loose there mucus plug before going into labor and some will loose it when they are in labor. I myself lost my mucus plug then it grew back then I lost it again right before my labor.
