For the past five years I have been suffering from a deep barking like cough during the winter season. It is worse at night sometimes its like a coughing fit but it sounds weird. Last year I had these symptons as well as a high temperature and my doctor said I had bronchitus. He gave me loads of antibiotics and it helped, he also gave me an inhaler which helps a little. My lungs constantly have a tightness on them I dont get a shortness of breathe though. Everyday if I dont have a deep cough I have small cough every now and then. Do I have acute bronchitus ..Does anyone know what will help ease these symptons?

viral infection cough
Hi ,My names is Jenn. I had a cough now for 7 weeks. I went to the Doctor. He said, I do not have pertussis. I have a viral infection. My cough has a small wheez too it sometimes. Also, one week I was throwing up during this cough .Now, thank goodness it stopped. I took antbiotics too, amoxcillian. I took a blood test with postive result of an infection.

I just do not now. I hope to find an answer. Or, take a few more tests to discover what is wrong with me. Maybe, this cough will go away soon!
