Assigning nutritional information to restaurant menus has a few downside issues:
- hard to obtain accurate information for amount of calories, fat, saturated fat...Etc.
- time consuming for large menus.
- requires expertise in the field
- using nutritional numbers may lead to negative recommendations. "no one goes for dishes with high fat"
-user unfriendly
so I thought about another idea! Why not just tag menu dishes with specific attributes! E.G.
- low fat ,
- high calcium
- low sodium
- high fiber
or maybe even more attractive tags:
- good for heart
- better blood circulation
can you help build a compact list of nutritional tags like the ones above?
Note: these tags must have a positive meaning. For instance "high fat" would show a list of "avoid dishes"
thank you very much,
