Im not realy eating healthy. I really want to too but I always get extremely hungry too fast and I just grab anything to munch on to soothe my hunger pains lol. I would really like to hear what other ladies eat and if they eat healthy or not.

I ate healthy but ate some junk food aswell, what I did was...

Like when I had a soda, i'd replace the soda I just had with 2 glasses of water, so everytime I had a soda, I drank 2 glasses of water. I ate 4 different vegetables a day and tried to eat 5 fruits a day, I also did some light working out. I think it's okay as long as you excersize right during pregnancy and make up for the junk food you eat.

I ate a lot of salads during pregnancy aswell, I think I craved that & ribs the most.

I try to keep my snacking healthy. If I want something right away i'll slice up an apple and dip it in peanut butter instead of going for junk food. Just keep lots of snack stuff ready that is healthy, so it's just as easy to reach for as junk food. Baby carrots, granola bars, yogurts, that sort of stuff. They have giant cookies I really love in my school cafeteria but instead of eating them i'll buy a slice of bannana bread and i'll get a small white milk instead of chocolate (not a big difference but i'm sure it adds up making small healthier choices). When I really want something sweet instead of going all out with candy i'll eat some canned fruit (still not the best, but better than chocolate bars.) just anything small you can do here and there makes a difference when it's all added up.

When I was pregnant, for breakfast I had a fruit smoothie, fruit and oat breakfast bar, and a bowl of high fibre cereals with milk....I know that's a lot but I was always starving when I woke up ...And those kind of things are really easy to just grab and eat, no cooking!..And healthy. A smoothie is a great way to get 3, 4 even 5 portions of fruit in yourself.

Lunch was your usual sandwiches of wholemeal or seeded bread with salad or some type of fresh cold meat slices and pickle or mayonnaise in them. Then a yoghurt or piece of fruit....Again really quick, simple...And healthy.

Dinner something cooked like, pasta twists in a sauce which I would add chopped up bacon or chicken to get the protein...Lasagne and veg, spaghetti bolognese, big salads with a protein (eggs/tuna/salmon/chicken/turkey/ham), sometimes added pasta or rice to a salad aswell....The rest of the time was usually meals of some kind of meat with potatoes, vegetables and gravy.

Fruit for a snack, or unsalted nuts.

Water and fresh fruit juice to drink.

I was really healthy food wise for most of my pregnancy, some people see pregnancy as an excuse to stuff themselves silly of total crap foods and junk, but I felt the total opposite, I wanted to be healthy for my baby.

Hope that helped a bit!

Orange juice is really good- but .Mcdonalds is probably the worst thing you could eat while you're pregnant, lol. What .Tanya said is a really good plan. Although it takes a lot of willpower. It's really hard to eat healthy!
