Ok, so I just started taking seasonale close to three weeks ago. I made the mistake of having unprotected sex on the 8th day of taking the pills, and now I am paranoid I could be pregnant. I want to get off the pills as soon as possible because by the time the reminder pills were to come(2 months from now) I will be out of the country with my family, and unable to take the actions necessary to get help.

Im nervous because some people say you should be fine if you wait the seven days before unprotected sex, whereas others have said you should have waited a whole month. I really cant afford to have a pregnancy, and I know its all my fault. But I really need to act quickly. Does anyone think I am over reacting? And if I should stop taking the pills when should I stop? Immediately? Please, please help!

Do not stop taking the birth control pills!!

Continue to take them.

Relax.

I'm sure your doctor told you how long to wait for sex. If not, read the package insert.

You are more than likely safe and are worrying over nothing.

The package insert said to use a backup for the first sevendays...Which I did. I even looked on planned parenthood, and the site said if I started the bc any other time in the cycle(i did not start it the sunday after my period, I started 8 days after my period) that it would become effective after 7 days...So im just freaking out over nothing?

Yes, you are freaking out over nothing!

Do not stop the pills, or else you will be risking pregnancy soon.

You are protected as long as you have been taking the pills for 7 days..
