Early Pregnancy: is Cramping a symptom of Miscarriage? Posted: 10-17-06 02:23am
I am about five weeks pregnant now and my
obgyn apointment is not till a couple more
weeks, I am having some lower cramping
almost in my groan area that comes for
awhile then goes away (but I have not
notice any bleeding). I have two beautiful
children but about two months ago I had a
miscarriage and wasnt able to go to the
fallow up appointment. I am really scared
of it happening again. I never had
cramping with my other two children and I
am not sure what to do, should I be
worried?

If cramping is not followed by vaginal
bleeding ,then there is nothing to be
worried about. But you can never be sure
what will happen in the future. If the
reasons that provoked the last miscarriage
are still present (or occur again), then
there are big chances for another
miscarriage. When a miscarriage starts,
very little can be done. The most common
reasons for early miscarriage are: genetic
causes, radiation, mutagenic substances
including medicines, viral infections
during the pregnancy, inflammatory damaged
uterus, hormonal etc.
