Q: Do I need to take another HIV Test?
asked by: DoctorQuestion on October 16th, 2006
Hello Doctor
I am 26 years old; I had a vaginal sex with unknown girl 70 days ago and I used condom during penetration,

But, in order to become sure about my health,
I took a HIV Test and the result was:
HIV antibody Type 1, 2 NEGETIVE
Is it necessary to take the test again?!
Thanks a lot for your consideration

If you haven’t experienced any risky behavior (unprotected sex of any type, using a common needle for injecting a drug, any unprotected contact with another’s blood) in the past 6 months... you don’t need another test.
