Q: Strange symptoms: imbalance, popping sounds, clicking jaw...
asked by: DoctorQuestion on October 15th, 2006
What is going on?

I got them checked out by my family doctor and a ent specialist and they both said they look ok

the ent told me I have meneries but I don't really think so. I do get imbalance and dizzy from tiem to time and I am seeing a physio therapist for that becuase she thinks it is my neck.

I also have a clicking jaw but not really any tenderness and I know I grind my teeth at night because I wear a retainer cause I use to have braces and it is worn out.

My ears are soooo sensitive to sound even typing on the key board and the phone ringing seems to bother them. And they pop from certain sounds. What is wrong with me.

According to your age, symptoms and all those doctor’s visits, diagnoses and treatments it seems to me that you might be too nervous. You could benefit from relaxation. You might find something that can take your mind off of disease and doctors.
