Q: His No Sex Drive = Driving Me Away

My husband (age 36), was recently diagnosised with low testosterone and type 2 diabetes and given the androderm patch. We have been married for 8 years and his sex drive has never seemed normal and it only got worse. I had begun to suspect that he was a homosexual.

He also has high blood pressure. I have brought his low libido up to a few doctors, but it was usally ignored because we have 4 kids. I have tried everything over the years to encourage him on the importance of having an active sex life, from bibilical, physical and emotional well being. I have threatened to leave and cheat on him numerous times. He has pretty much ignored me.

So, I am relieved to know the cause. Although, I do believe that if he would have tried to do participate and used his "utensil" a little more frequently that it would not have gotten this bad so fast. He didnt kiss me, hold me, give massages or anything, absolutely nothing. We have had intercourse about 5-6 times this year and it is the middle of october. Does the old adage use it or loose it apply here or is low testosterone the cause of it all Sad ? Please help.....

Even if he has low test level he still has to cum. A guys balls can only hold so much so, he either is jerking off or having wet dreams, having sex. My wife has a low sex drive because of depression and she is on anti-depression meds that lower her sex drive. So I know how you feel about only having sex four or five times a year. I would at least eat out your vagina for you if I was him. My wife knows I get horny so at least she gives me bj.Lately our sex life has picked up alittle. I love her and would never leave her. If you want you can pm me if you want to talk.

Thanks, for the info. I totally agree. Low testorone, does not answer everything here. At least your wife tries to be attentive to your needs in the ways she can. Because like you said out of consideration for me, he could have taken care of my needs. But he was not doing that either. Which is why I still struggle with rather I should mess around or not.

I didn't know that a guy's ball can only hold so much cum. He tell the doctor that every since he had his vasectomy 3 years ago, when he ejaculates it hurts. Could build up in his balls be the cause?

One can check sypmtoms for low libido like :having sleeping problems, hair-loss,gaining weight, depression, getting tired quickly. If these symptoms prevails than surely you have a problem of erectile dysfunction. So if your testosterone level is decreasing than you have to resort to erectile dysfunction drugs like [advertising removed] and others.

Tips on increased libido and healthy penis:

1. Don't smoke since it introduces chemical in blood which affects testosterone level.

2. Do some physical exercises. To get testosterone levels up naturally, put yourself on a good weight lifting program and it will increase naturally.

3. Proper diet.Eat plenty of fruits it will drop your weight naturally and you will notice your libido returning and your ability to satisfy it as well.

4. Do not over-indulge in drinking.

5. Find food rich in all the vitamins and minerals.

6. Mastrubate if alone because the chemicals and reactions required for keeping your penis healthy are put to use.

wrong

sperm production is on demand.
It take approx 24-48 for sperm to mature (which is why when trying for a baby sex every other day is best).

Sperm is not made and "stored" in the testes - that is a myth used by men to get girls to give in and have sex with them.

To the orginal poster - it doesn't sound like you give your guy much encouragement.
It probably began as something small and he felt ashamed and so now he just has an incredibly low sex drive.
Gentle persuasion and encouragement and support will get better results.

And no, if he has low testosterone - he has a medical reason - in fact he may not even be producing sperm depending on his testosterone levels.
Sounds like he has a genuine low sex drive and a medical reason to boot.
I doubt he is jerking off at all - in fact I doubt he even thinks about sex much at all.

This does not make him gay either.

Cripes the man has a medical low hormone level - the very hormone that fuels his sex drive.

Thanks, for the input. He was overweight when I met him and he has gotten even bigger (unfortunately so have :d from lack of activity). I have purchased vitamins, herbal libido busters, and told him that rather he feels like it or not sex is good for his health. His father had prostate cancer, which makes him more at risk in addition to his other medical problems.

I told him that I am sorry to hear about his problems and that I hope he is able to get help. He will need to take ownership of his problem, I can't anymore. It has caused me to much stress and trauma.

I do not know if he masturbates, but I do quite a bit :d . He sleeps on one side of the bed and me on the other. He has not used his testorone patch yet, and I read that that can cause side effects on the female partner or children if we come into contact with it. Side effects like male pattern baldness, deepening of the voice, facial hair etc, so even if he does use it, I will be scared to be next to him not exactly something I need at this point. He has to change the location of the patch each night to different locations on his body. I do not want the residue touching me.
