Religion Debate?

Since a lot of topics in the abortion
forum turn into religious debates, a
formal religion debate might be a good
place to let off some steam.
What you do you think?

Grrreat! Which do you think...Should it
go under "lifestyle" or "mental health"?

I kind of agree, but then I kind of don't.
I agree because I think the knuckle-heads
who engage to religious debates should
have a place to whine at one another...But
on the other hand, what does religion have
to do with health? There's countless
religion debate boards out there, so why
bring one here?
I would suggest placing a sticky topic in
the abortion debate forum providing links
to religious sites, particularly ones
where bickering is advocated. Then people
can contact the mods with suggestions for
links.

I agree, I think it's a great idea. Ok
so it's not directly linked to the human
body health wise but I
think it's certainly pertinent to the
spiritual and mental health of an
individual.

what does dating have to do with health?
What do widows and widowers have to do
with health?
What does being single and unhappy have to
do with health?
Yet we have sub forums for all these
things

yes but going along the lines of cambions
post then we should really limit the above
forums to the depression forum not give
them forums all to themselves when the
result is the same for all causes if you

I think that if you want to have a place
on here to take religiously oriented
debates, then that's dandy.
If someone were to find it offensive or
not in line with "ehealth concepts" then
they certainly don't have to post on it.
I pretty strongly believe that spiritual
beliefs have a direct correlation with
someone's physical health, but that's just
me. :d

Sorry it took so long to respond.
Yes, we might consider such a forum or
host a chat site about religion, but it
might be outside of the ehealthforum
domain. We'll be revising the abortion
forum to become strictly medical...These
changes will help eliminate debate and get
the debate into the proper channels.
Thanks for your ideas and keep them
comin'! -admin

Thanks very much for the suggestion.
However, creating a religious forum is not
stated in our mission. Our mission
statement follows...
"ehealthforum exists to preserve and
improve human life by bringing
health-related information to all people
via the internet. We are an online
community that connects people of all
national, religious, and cultural
backgrounds (over the age of 13) who share
medical concerns. Our forums are designed
to give people a place to express
themselves, connect with others, and help
those who are dealing with medical issues;
a place to find comfort, understanding and
information."
religious debate creates division, rather
than unity. We'd like to promote our
one-ness, rather than differences. If you
have issue with a particular forum, please
send us a private message or user comment
form to outline your concerns.

Hmm. I see your point, Birch. I think we
are going to have to give this another
look. It's just that a religion debate
could be so explosive, in comparison with
the other debates we've set up. People
tend to want to die for religion...not so
much for the medical use of marijuana.
You know?

I understand, but abortion is the same
way, and we are adults. I've learned many
things in the thick of debates on
sensitive subjects. Plus, ehealth seems
to have a remarkable team of "advanced
support staff" available to police the
forums. I would encourage you to give it
shot, see how it goes.
thanks!
