Q: Night Time Bottle

I have been criticized by many mothers out there for not giving my 8 month old daughter a bottle at bed time. I figure she doesn't need it and i'll prevent the difficulties many mothers have down the road trying to take it away from their child down the road. She's still not sleeping through the night, but I don't want to give in. Any opinions for you moms out there about the night time bottle??? Would love to hear from you all.

Bedtime Bottles
Hi stephanie! I have 3 kids and when they were all little I gave them bedtime bottles even with the critizism!! My youngest, now 9 drank bottles the longest. I finally had to just put them up when he was 4! Ultimately, the decision is up to you!! You are the mom, not anyone else! One thing, though...They do say that milk/juices given via bottle at bedtime can coat the teeth and cause problems. They say to rinse the childs mouth out after a bottle to prevent this. Just an fyi. If you are really concerned, talk to your peds doc. Good luck!
