I had a ct scan done to my abdomen when I had appendicitis. But the stuff I drank was horrrrrrrible it tasted like somebody made orange juice carbonated. I think it was barium.

I guess I got lucky! I had the iv contrast just this past monday, didn't have to drink anything though. I hate the way the contrast makes you feel, ya know a whole body hotflash. I wonder if when you have a hotflash like that does the baby have one too? Oh well just curious!

Barium yep thats what its called, ive had many many ultrasounds in my life (i have a lot of medical issues) ive had both the iv contrast and the barium, I have never been able to drink the entire thing they try to get me to, but I did have some good stuff when I was little, it was at childrens hospital and it tasted just like koolaid, I had to drink almost 3 glasses instead of just one but it was worth it....Sorry for the rambliness, im hyper, for some reason today ^_^

I had to drink 3 putrid bottles of the stuff plus an iv wich made me feel like I was in hell and made me feel like I peed on the table . I hope that I never have to do it again.

i had to drink 3 cups of that stuff too. It was so disgusting!!! Omg, I cant even describe how sick it was, just thinking about it makes me want to vomit.
