Tmj And Bowen Therapy

Asked last week if anyone had tried bowen therapy for tmj but got no replies, just to let you know I had my first session on monday night, thought it hadn't worked as I felt worse on tuesday nad wednesday, but low and behold yesterday morning I woke up with some weird things going on in my body muscles like moving about. And feel much better today. Don't no if this is short lived or not, have another appointment this monday, as therapist says due to me having suffer for years it will not go quickly, will keep you all posted on my journey though.

Cheers Laughing

Hi sadie,
i've never heard of bowen therapy. What did the therapist do to you or make you do? Do you know if thereis a good website describing the therapy? I'm glad to read that it appears to be helping. Let's hope and pray that this will be your "miracle."

god bless...

Bowen Therapy
Hi

the site is www.Bowtech.Com it gives you list of practioners as well as all the info. I attend one who was told that he would spend his life in a wheelchair a number of years ago he was an architect and had bad back pain couldnt put on socks or shoes. When he was lying on the floor one night in agony listened to the radio and this show cam one talking about bowen he went for it and now is a highly trained therapist. I live in ayrshire scotland and he practices in glasgow and troon which is 20mins from where I live, this is his personal site www.Bnth.Org

i am off for my second visit 2nite, so will keep you all posted, remember what works for one doesn't not always work for the other unfortunately, this treats the body as a whole but work can be done also on set parts of the body tmj being one. Happy surfing sadie

bowen technique
i am learning bowen technique.. and the more i learn the more i am hooked. have had it done on my horse (thanks sue) who had been lame for weeks. we found some pus in the foot and treated that but he was still slightly lame... didnt get any worse and everyone put it down to old age and pedal osteosis but we knew there were back problems and after 2 treatments he is sound and i can ride him. i had 3 treatments myself on my lower back pain which i have had for 20 plus years .. and though not completely gone as I spend hours every day at an office desk - its so much better. fascia is a wonderful thing and i cant learn enough about it
